To tackle questions easiest to hardest:
* Everyone is on their offside because as a player, I find it easier to shoot, cut to the middle on the rush, poke and body check, and in general play from my offside. The only benefits I have ever found on my strong side is passing off the rush and sometimes holding the blue line. In my opinion, the benefits of the offside outweigh those on the strong side.
* If you do not like Moore re-signing and then immediately being traded, we can move Bels into his place, eliminate the Carolina trade, and take a sixth from Dallas instead of a fifth.
* I was using previous cap hits as a basis to how much each player signed for. As such, I did not put much thought into many contracts, and I understand and have changed Alzner's deal.
* Beleskey to me just does not fit in Boston, whether it is the system or the environment, I do not know. I would think that bubble teams would be willing to take a gamble to see if he returns to his former prowess, especially if they are not gambling with much. Really it is about where the other GM sees his team in May or June, and whether Beleskey a. can elevate his gameplay to where it once was, and b. makes that situation better or worse. It is a gamble that I think a bubble team that needs winger depth would take for the right price.
* Personally, I see this team as a much more cap-efficient team, a younger and deeper team, and a team that is starting to evolve with the game. Given all that Sweeney and Chiarelli did to drive this team into the ground, there was not much that I could do in one offseason to try to help. More specifics about what a "whole lot of nothing" entails and what "yikes" means would help me to defend my position. I do not necessarily see this team as a cup contender 2017-18, but I do see it as a more consistent playoff team and a better base than before for another cup contender like the 2011 and 2013 Bruins were.
