Created by: AG_sweden
Team: 2022-23 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 9, 2022
Published: Nov. 9, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- what to do? what can they do? a lot of long term contracts with NMC.
- they placed a lot of money to fix the bottom 6, and this bottom 6 isn't all that.
- It is not a team, it is individual efforts.
- I'm not expecting wins against either DET or NSH.
- This stone will continue to sink, and stink.

How has scratching Reaves worked out the last two games? They have no life to their game without him, and it doesn't help with Lindgren out. Teams are just out working them and appear to want the win more.

What does Kravstov bring to the table? What has he ever done in an NHL game worth noting? I'd rather dress Gauthier than him, and Gauthier can't finish to save his life, but at least he creates chances and will hit someone once in a while.

Zac Jones cannot defend well enough due to his size, and Hajek is basically worthless. They should try to move Kravstov for a 3rd pair LD worth a damn, waive Hajek, dress Reaves every game and create a bottom 6 that at least throws the bodies around and plays solid D if they aren't going to score much. Way too many turnovers and blown D assignments.

Value is so low now it is a pure loss to trade him. NYR needs to keep this guy.

My suggestion is trade Zac and Kravtsov to CHI for Lafferty and Caleb Jones , might be able to throw in a player to dump some cap in that deal.
Ideal would be Goodrow, and add Domi. But that is dreamland territory.

At this rate he won't score 20 goals again this season. He's still young, but he's not showing any improvement since he entered the NHL.

But what worries most is he's gonna ask for a big raise next summer, not sure NYR can afford it. Probably something like Dach, 3-4 years at over 3M.

How much do you think him and Miller are gonna cost next year for the Rangers?

The way they play now it looks more like a Kakko kind of a deal. If more money then longer term like 4 years, 5 years etc.

Problem is they are playing bad as a team. In the beginning of the season he did produce so if they turn it around he might too.

We use to say the same about Kakko, but he is one of our best forwards right now so you never know?

The team shouldn't be saying "we have to find a way to play a better game", that is a massive indictment on the coaching staff. You can't outwork a lack of structure. I don't understand how an organization with so much money doesn't flex that by having the best of the best in coaching, with a commitment to constantly improving their craft, to go with their elite player. Just demonstrates a disinterest in winning.
