This deal is ridiculous.

All of those Habs are players you CAN trade for, but not like this.

Allen & Anderson for Campbell & Pool party kind of balances on cap, but in order to motivate the Habs to do this you would need to throw in Bourgeault, especially because Campbell is signed for a long time.

Savard is playing some of the best hockey of his career under MSL and is 2nd in the league in blocked shots. He's mentoring the kids and is a large part of the reason they are coming along so quickly. Savard for Barrie to make the money work but you have to motivate the Habs to move him with a protected 1st in 2023. He's an important part of the team, so if you want him he comes at a premium.

Edmundson is somewhat expendable to the Habs because we have so many LHD but he's still worth at least a 2nd round pick. So we can take Murray back if you need us to but I'd say this deal gets done for a 2nd and a 3rd.

As for lavoie, he has negative value. Actually negative value in an ELC. That’s difficult to do. He is a bust and I’ve been saying since his draft year
