Same lineup as San Jose and Columbus, Stick to what is working so far.

Detroit has a bad habit of losing the next home game after a road win. Preds have been winning lately. I think Detroit will be complacent after blowing out Columbus. I'm expecting a Preds win. Hopefully I'm wrong.

We have a great opportunity to gain some ground on the Leafs while their D is banged up. Husso has been keeping us in games early and giving us an opportunity to win. We're still giving the puck away too much.

They were doing great the last two games of the western road trip, And then had 3 days off in a row. So yeah they will definitely come out flat tonight.

That OT loss to the Ducks still pisses me off.

Me too, Piss away a 2-1 lead with 40 seconds left, That's what happens when a not very good team sits back on a lead.

Red Wings have been guilty of that too many times. Just like the "Prevent Defense" in football. Prevent you from winning is what Mike Ditka used to say.

I remember back in our cup era,When we had the Left Wing Lock to prevent late scoring. And it pretty much always worked in the later stages of the games.

Yeah Scotty used the LW Lock with his 70s Cup winning Habs teams. Habs and Red Wings had the horses to use it effectively. I'm not sure if the current Red Wings could do it. Newsy is trying to get this team to play well in all 3 zones. He's making some progress. But we've seen things completely fall apart when players go rogue and revert to old habits. We're not talented enough to outscore our mistakes like Babcock's 2008-09 Red Wings did.

And yet if we keep this up, We're on pace for 100 points and 270 goals. I don't think we've scored that many goals since our playoff days. Go figure.

I think scoring in general is up around the league. But it's still nice to see the Red Wings scoring more goals than they did under Blashill.
