Big Trade No Islander Fan Has Thought of Yet

Created by: IslesHockey
Team: 2017-18 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 1, 2017
Published: Jun. 1, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Isles defense was GARBAGE last year as they ranked 22nd in Goals Against. Their offense was completely fine ranking 10th in Goals For. The goalies I can guarantee you were not the problem. Garth just needed to send one guy down because the 3 goalie system was awful and he thought Berube was gonna get taken, which he wasnt and now hes leaving anyway on group 6 UFA so there's that. So here's my approach to fixing that problem.

These moves give them the cap space to make moves and doesnt hurt their prospect pool all that bad.

Feedback appreciated

I don't hate the trade, but I'm not sure how we'd protect everyone here. I think the Isles need to use their prospect pool as ammo for legit game changers - which this accomplishes

In a perfect world you ask boychuk to waive his NMC (0 chance he gets taken) and protect Tanev, Leddy, Hamonic, Pulock, De Haan, Ladd, Lee, Tavares, Greiss
