Yeah, im a idiot for last post. Don't crucify the thought because I put Dean in the trade. He is more of a place holder as I'm not as aware of how the Vegas prospect depth chart falls
It's more about Chicago getting an asset for creating cap flexibility for Vegas. I know they are in LTIR but this uses up less of those funds and possibly allow them another more significant move.

No worries. VGK fans might disagree, but I think its more than fair for CHI taking all of that cap back and sending some pieces that could be beneficial to them in the short term (and maybe even the long term if Hardman and/or Wells become something more substantial). But if they don't need the cap space before the TDL, it doesn't really help them, since both contracts are up at the end of the season.

I don't think we would do that. Dean is one of our only good prospects. Maybe Brossoit and a 3rd (maybe a 2nd) for future considerations.

Well, I know VGK wouldn't actually do it. But if they are trying to load up at the TDL and needed the cap space, yes, that is more than fair. Dean is good, but its not like he's some top 10 pick worthy wizard. He's probably a third line center at the NHL level.
