Fat chance that Jeff Petry would waive his NMC for Colorado. Sakic pretty much said that it's Sergachev or nothing for Duchene.

How so? the way I see it , Galchenyuk = Duchene (even though chuky is younger and I think has a higher potential ceiling) Barrie > Petry (but Petry + 1st = Barrie) Beaulieu = Grigorenko (both former 1st rounders who've shown problems with consistency but still have potential, and they both fit their respective team needs)

Very true! according to cap friendly his NMC is that he has to submit a list of 15 teams he cannnot be traded to. Let's cross our fingers COL is not on that list (i'm not keeping my hopes up lol)

Hope you're not basing Galchenyuk to Colorado on the Eklund rumor the guys not trustworthy enough. And it's pretty much just Eklund that's speculating about Galchenyuk for Duchene.

It's possible COL gives up on Grigo, and that makes him almost worthless. IMO that would be a mistake. I've met Grigo at my local Target: nice guy and still very young.

Well Duchene is a far better player then Galchenyuk. The two best players in this deal are going to MTL, and COL is getting two middle of the road Dmen. The 1st is nice, but not nearly enough for Sakic to give away two major assets.

Ya I don't really follow that website. The rumor i'm basing this on is just a discussion that was on TSN 690. not really a rumor i guess but this is just for fun.

I'll have to disagree with you on that. Duchene has proven more yes (but he's older). both players were picked 3rd overall, both players have scored 30goal seasons in the past. so MTL gets Duchene's experience, COL gets Galchenyuks youth. equal

I want the Colorado trade to happen but Jeff Petry cannot be traded away because of his contract, why sign Grigorenko and right after trade him to Edmonton? Montreal will not trade Andrew Shaw, I hope this happens with Vegas or that they take Plekanec instead.

If edmonton trades RNH, id think it would be for a RHD.
