Verbeek could have claimed Tolvanen if he wanted to do he had no value

Name value I think we still get a 1st for Klingberg

I 100% agree that Verbeek would have claimed him if they wanted him a month ago, however, this is a fictional scenario where between now and the trade deadline I can see Tolvanen impressing the likes of ANA, CBJ, or another rebuilder which will allow SEA to dump him for a veteran player to help push for a playoff berth. His small sample size with SEA looks promising, 3p in 3gp. He reminds me of Anthony Duclair, who needs to have a strong top 6 role and play significant PP minutes to be affected on a team. Seattle can offer him that if he stays long-term, but he still has value around the league.

And Klingberg has been a shell of his old self. If he keeps up his current play I can't see him going for more than a 3rd if there was no salary retention. He would be a nice addition to SEA, providing some playoff experience and a veteran presence as long as they can get the 2017-21 Klingberg and not continue his 2021-23 Klingberg.

Between Dunn, Larsson, Oleksiak, Schultz, Soucy and Borgen (who's had a pleasant performance this season so far), I think Seattle has their D decently covered, and could go for some depth and get a 7th D-man/injury replacement.. or maybe they do go for a bigger fish. But just my thought.
