No shot Colorado would accept that deal you have for Duchene. They are looking for a top prospect and Vande Sompel won't do. I wish they would accept that in real life lol.

I'm well aware of how good he is. But packaging 1 good prospect who isn't in the top 5 of isles prospects, with 2 forwards who aren't top 6, and adding another prospect who is hit or miss wouldn't get sakic to trade Duchene

you could def argue nelson to be a top 6 forward and strome is a top 9 forward who had a 50 point season his rookie year so clearly still has tons of potential and talent. Also soderstrom would probably be ranked only after barzal pulock and ho sang (and probably a little bit lower than sorokin but he's not signed) on their prospect list. He would also get Vande Sompel who is a good d prospect along with a 1st rounder next season and would also get pelechs rfa rights who looked like he belongs as at worst a 7th dman in this league with potential for more.

Im not saying the avs would definitely do this trade but to say theres no shot i think is a little bit of a stretch, even if the isles would have to include a little more i think it would be fine.

Duchene, at his best, is a good player, but he is very questionable. I would call him a 2nd liner, and i don't see them getting what they want for them. It's not that i think Strome is a superstar, it's just that i don't think Duchene is even close to a superstar.
