Utterly unrealistic.
The cap hit of the six forwards under contract for next season on the roster shown above (Matthews, Marner, Jarnkrok, Tavares, Nylander and Holmberg) is $43,433,116.
The cap hit of the six defensemen under contract for next season on the roster shown above (Rielly, Brodie, Sandin, Liljegren, Giordano and Timmins) is $16,950,000.
Murray's cap hit is $4,687,500.
My math is suspect, but I think that the total of those three figures is a little over $65 million. Let's assume a best case scenario and say that the cap ceiling will be $84 million next year.
That leaves $19 million for Bunting, Horvat, Kuzmenko, Meier and Samsonov, plus at least one more forward and one more defenseman (we'll assume at minimum level). Obviously, there won't be room for more than Samsonov and two of the four big-ticket acquisitions, which means that you will have expended the entire near future in draft picks for two guys who won't last beyond July 1.
