Wash Capitals 2017-2018 outlook

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description

Caps don't have much flexibility but this seems like there potential approach so far. Bringing back the TKO line and the Swedes line for 2017-2018. Also Stephenson, Vrana, and Djoos will get some looks next year for a full time slot. Would be surprised to see Carey in there also.
Hopefully they can get back some early 2-4 future draft picks, and look for them to try and move Orpik this year for some young assets.

Untouchables on this team are Holtby, Kuzy, and Backy. Let me know what you think!

Yea, looks pretty realistic to me. Would just flip Djoos for Bowey. I think he's more ready to make the jump.

Yea I was hoping for that too. Only thing is from what I have heard from local reporters and inside contacts that Bowey isn't necessarily "busting down the doors." REF: Pat Holden/Isabelle Khurshudyan

I hope he can make some strides as a nice Dman next year expecially given the injuries throughout the year. I hear Djoos looks really really good, and had a great season last year.
