From a Dallas perspective, I will be impressed if Nill is able to deal Niemi given recent performance and cap hit, but even still I'm not sure Tanev is the right fit. Pretty good player, but they'd like a Left D, and one that can play top line minutes alongside Klingberg. Lindell did a solid job last year in that role, but I believe going in to this season they'd like to move him down to the 2nd pairing while he gains more NHL experience. Meantime, if they can find a #1 guy (which are hard to find), I'm sure they'd be willing to deal a top asset like the #3 overall pick + to make it happen. Just not sure Vancouver is the best partner for what we need on the back end, but guess we'll see...
