That is almost more value going to STL than what VAN got for Bo (and Bo is healthy, younger, and having a career year). Isles decline.

I agree it’s too much. But I also don’t think Horvat was that great of a pickup. Horvat is a center which is usually a hotter commodity but generally you like a little more two-way play from a center. Age is certainly on his side. Tarasenkos injury was from blocking a shot. Not residual.

Point being, Horvat is shooting 8% higher than his career average right now if not more. Tarasenko aside from the covid seasons is pretty regularly around a 75 point player. Raty is a better prospect than Holmstrom, a 23 1st is certainly preferred to a 24, and Beauvillier is an alright player.

I think if you remove Aho and the 2nd it looks a lot more reasonable. I’m not sure if Ahos contract and I’m also not sure why the Blues would want him with their current surplus of 4-7 left handed d men.
