I don't like douchene, I dont love the idea of in division trades, but honestly I really like how that deal would work for both sides. Unfortunately we'd have insane salary cap issues if we took his full salary hit on and then also re-signed nino and granny. Not sure its viable but its a cool idea.

JT Compher is ready for full NHL duty so I wouldn't sign Moore. Plus I doubt Steve's brother would sign with the Avs considering how they've essentially shunned him since the injury. The Duchene trade needs another asset coming back, like a high draft pick. Besides those small gripes, I like the final roster

Trocheck for Barrie is very interesting.

I don't see Smith (UFA) signing with COL, especially after last season. He will be pursued aggressively by lots of playoff teams, and could get the same ($4.5) or more money from those types of teams. Same goes for Alzner, although Alzner is much worse statistically than Smith, so feel free to have COL overpay him!

Doesn't sound like Beauchemin is being bought out, which further shuts down the Smith/Alzner additions above. For Vegas to take Beauchemin, it would cost a pick and prospect, plus salary retention I think.

The only reason i signed moore is because we needed someone for the PK... i do t like the divisional trades either but thats how i found you'd get the best return for duchene... i feel that that Minnesota is up against it with the expansion so they'd need to shed a dman and with an asset like duchene we could also get tuch... i wanted to get rid of beauchamin or soderberg in the expansion but they have no moves, but i figured we could sent him yo a low cap team like vegas or Carolina... i figured we'd have to overpay to get smith or alzner but feel like it would be worth since the defense is shaky at best
