Description
I focused more on the forwards because that seemed simple to me, need a scoring winger for the top 6 (I’m sure people would say that it’s light on the Mier trade, just add another future second or maybe next years first if we want to get wild) and another piece in the bottom 6 with size would be nice (again, just add another pick to the bjugstad trade).
Defence is weird to me, I didn’t see many options that I liked that teams would actually be willing to part ways with especially on the left side because you have your very offensive D in Rielly and Sandin, so I feel like you can only play one of them in the playoffs, but I’m not sure how I feel about giving Benn or Gio top 4 mins (more comfortable with Gio, but age might be starting to catch up with him). The right side seems more set with Lilly and Brods taking the top 4 mins there and Holl playing third pair while Timmy gets into games regularly but I don’t see him being in the playoff lineup. I know it’s a long shot, but if Muzz ends up being able to come back towards the end of the season (without a major risk to his long term health, the person before the player here folks) that would be amazing and he would slot in beside Lilly in the top 4. Long story short, they need to cut out the bad giveaways if they want to actually do something come April.

The Meier offer is beyond belief bad. A 2nd or next years first doesn't even get it remotely closer. Try harder.

You're not getting an elite power forward for a bag of nothing.

Ok, add anything you want (as long as it’s not Knies or this years first), I could care less what the leafs give up for him. The whole point I’m trying to demonstrate with that trade is to get Mier while not giving up any players on the roster currently. (Also calling Minten and Niemelä nothing is a stretch to say the least)
