Honestly not sure about the draft/prospect compensation, in part why I pushed it out. Also not overly familiar with the dynamic of the bottom six. Wood’s stats don’t meet his salary but he has an “A” on his sweater; otherwise, he was an easy inclusion back. Bastian brings grit—how much is that valued relative to pure points? Other than Boqvist, it was mostly to make salary work. If Devils fans are over Blackwood, CBJ will take him back, though not sure valuing him much beyond a salary dump. (Somewhat more, but not much.)

Roslovic is a first round pick with first round talent. Yeah, he’s not perfect, otherwise I wouldn’t ship a Columbus-born player out of town. But he’s second on the team in assists and looks to be in just the wrong system. He does play every situation 5v5, 4v4, PP, PK, maybe not OT. Robinson has speed to burn and is exceptional on the PK, a serious SHG threat. Big bodied, Jersey born, it would be a homecoming. Only knock is he sometimes needs a compass for his shot to find the net. Still, his breakaway speed draws lots of penalties and kills time a man down.
