the maple leafs are my favourite team and to give up 3 good prospects AND a first round pick is way to much for a defensemen like jared spurgeon, yes he's good but not good enough to give up everything in this trade, just my opinion... yes we have many prospects but I just think its to much for spurgeon

You're probably right. Just don't think Minn would give a guy like Spurgeon for a few unproven NHLers without a 1st Rounder.
But Minn could loose him at expansion for less...so ya, this could be a bit much for the Leafs to give up.

yeah I think Minny is backed into a corner on this one. They're only going to get low-balled. So they'll either lose him for nothing or trade him for a mid round pick or prospect at most.
