Pool Party

Created by: SlimTJ100
Team: 2022-23 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 20, 2023
Published: Feb. 20, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Idk how but word is Rangers can obtain Kane still, so the cap would work in this case as well
Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse ($1,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
This should be the trade for both guys. Tweak the deets, but I think both teams do this for the same reasons. Changes of scenery. Puhljarvi would need to agree to a pay cut next year tho for this deal to be completed. And it won’t be for 3 million. One year prove it deal, 1.5 or something. Maybe he can get two years
EDM
  1. Kravtsov, Vitali
  2. 2025 4th round pick (DAL)
2.
NYR
  1. Grant, Derek ($750,000 retained)
ANA
  1. Leschyshyn, Jake
  2. 2025 5th round pick (MIN)

Well for Kravtsov I’d prefer someone we can utilize right away. Good or bad he fits that bill lol. He’d fit nicely with Krieder imo. Like I said, has to be low risk with his next deal tho. Plus washing our hands of Kravtsov would be a little easier to swallow this way

Ok I didn’t realize that. Anyone is upgrade on Leschysyn lol, so I could insert a dozen guys in there throughout the league

Pool Party doesn't score much but he is very good defensively. Rangers resurrected Vesey's career. Maybe they could rescue Pool Party?

Manhattan has delicious pizza though so he might turn into Pizza Party and gain 50 pounds.

I like the idea of trading Kravtsov for Pulj, more likely in the off season though if both of them are not moved at the TDL.

Yea good point haha. He loves his pizza!

That would actually work because that’s probably going to be our shutdown line anyway, with the Russians and Zib and the kid line, as the other two lines. Trocheck and Kreider are pretty good together, they need a linemate tho. Vesey is fine in reality there. But I just think they do one more move where we turn our heads or lift our eyebrows if you know what I mean

I'd love to see Bertuzzi on the Rangers. But Red Wings aren't sellers right now. Guy is made for playoff hockey and he's never played a playoff game.

Yea could happen then too. It does seem like a good trade for both teams, on paper. But I really think the roster spot Kravtsov is currently holding would be for a trade acquisition for this year. Filling it with no one is not a good idea. He probably needs to be off the team sooner rather than later

Yea I saw that he wasn’t getting traded. I would love to see Buffalo and Detroit give the big wigs (Bs and Canes) a good series in the playoffs. That would be fun watching those up n coming teams.

Sabres are farther along than Detroit is but I'll take Husso over their goalies. He's kept Detroit in a lot of games. Sabres will be a Wagon soon.

sabres remind of me the rangers after they got/won Laf. Right there on the cusp and before you know it look out, they’ll be contending

I still can't fathom how the Sens traded Zibanejed for Brassard. Cheapskates. 🤭

I think that and the McDonough trades were the most lopsided NYR trades in recent memory.

Oh yeah. The RMD trade. That was the Scott Gomez trade, right? Another fleecing. Then Bergy trades a young Sergachev for Drouin. 🤭

McDonagh leaving was bad too. Got him for Gomez lol and ended up with nothing really for him unfortunately.

Worst trade in the NHLs history is Teemu Sleanne for Oleg tverdovsky by a land slide tho. And I’m not sure that can be topped😂if you haven’t ever looked at the stats post trade do it. It’s unbelievable how bad that turned out for Winnipeg

Yeah it did suck not getting much for him in the Tampa trade. And yeah, Sergachev is some defenseman too! At the time of that trade, I though it was pretty fair because Drouin looked really good...

Yeah but Drouin was never going to succeed at C and the Habs tried to make him one because they had a huge void at C. Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Drouin looked really good in Junior playing with MacKinnon.
