whats the point on spending on much money on D right now when the team sucks....? and its not like Phaneuf is a upgrade over anyone plus save all those money for future as you might need those $ in 2 or 3 years down the road.

How is he not an upgrade? Also Green is on the last year of his deal. Could be a trade deadline guy to move depending on how the team is playing.

Phaneuf trade is so bad. He is worth a 5 round pick if you pick up his whole contract. Phaneuf isn't a upgrade at all with a 7 million contract.

No we don't you **** at making trades no way am i giving up Nyquist and Hicketts for an aging overpaid D man in Dion Phaneuf.
