            I would rather trade Edmundson than Matheson ! Savard and him are important for our young d core !

            Where will his game be in 2025-26 when the Habs rebuild is over?

            I understand, but for now, maybe next year the young guys will be able to play on there own, but for now, Savard and Matheson are playing important minutes and they are mentors to these young guys. I think that KH dont want to trade them, but if the offers is ridiculous, maybe he'll pull the trigger. Anybody can be trade for a price. I feel that both guys will be traded before their contract expired, but for now I keep them. But who knows

            Allen's new contract kicking in next season kills any hope of moving him after the season he has had. If he was expiring maybe you could get a mid round pick for him but with close to a 4 mil cap hit and term, no one is interested.

            I think by default Eddy is back next season and if you add Guhle, Harris, Xhekaj... Plus some kids in Laval like Trudeau, Beaudoin, Schueneman who deserve a shot... It would actually help us to move Matheson. Too many bodies is not good. We saw it at forward this season. Players crumble under the pressure more often than not.

            I agree! If the price is right why not trade Matheson, because he will but hard to fit under the cap eventually when Guhle, Xhekaj and Barron will earn a new deal! But I would hold on Savard. He is a solid RD, he is from Qc and he is a perfect mentor!

            Maybe so. I am not sure if a team will look at him. There are teams like Toronto, Seattle, Ottawa, even Calgary who don't have a clear starter and maybe don't have the cap structure to permit one. One of those teams might want to ride a rookie goalie in tandem with a player like Allen?

            Besides the fact Allen isn't really a starter, I think Ottawa is the only one there without a clear starter. The Leafs have 2 goalies who have played better than Allen, with Murray being signed to a 4 mil next sason. Calgary has Markstrom, he's signed to big money for a long time. Seattle has Grubauer signed to big money and term too. The reality for Ottawa though is that they'd be better off going shopping in free agency than picking up Allen.

            Murray is like Glass. He just breaks.
            Markstrom is... Not playing up to his contract and is starting to break down. I think if the Flames miss the playoffs... It's going to fall on Markstrom entirely. He's been bad.
            Fair enough on Seattle, Grubauer is playing really well, but their backup is not playing great.
