Idk it seems like the league is cracking down on that stuff. Kinda risky to go that route to get a expensive player.

Crouse is a decent (good?) player but the Avs can't really afford that contract going forward unless they make a trade in the offseason to make room. He also does not address the need at C but maybe that doesn't matter all that much. The addition of more scoring, especially at even strength, would be welcome. I do think Arizona would want the 2023 or 2024 1st for a cost-controlled power-forward.

His recovery has been very slow - he was supposed to be back months ago but just hasn't progressed all that much. Even if he does come back, Johnson is most likely done for the regular season with a broken ankle so that's a route they could go.
