I could see NYI agreeing, but why would CGY do that? Would you really risk Monahan for a guy whould can just walk away in a year? Calgary is not a prime destination for players who want to win.

I would rather see Gaudreau going to NYI in exchange for Tavares, but that's my opinion. Johnny goes closer to home and JT moves to a team that's closer to breaking through than the Iles will be for a few more years.
No matter what, Calgary has to do something to improve and keep up with Edm moving forward.
