Description

Caps will start to miss the playoffs after this season. Since there's no trade rumors for Carlson I'm assuming we lose him to ufa for nothing after this year which is a complete waste. I don't see us having the money to re-sign Oshie unless Orpiks contract is moved and since he won't be bought out I doubt we have enough (picks/prospects) to trade him to a basement team. If somehow the cap ceiling hits 77mil then we can re-sign Oshie but that's only if we fill our bottom six with <1mil contracts. GMBM says that he doesn't want to make any big moves for the fear that it might make us worse but if he doesn't make any we will be a mediocre team for a while after 2017-2018.

Caps have a crap load of good-great prospects coming up. Caps will continue to make the playoffs for awhile. Carlson can easily be resigned, even with Orpik. Let Oshie go, he's over his prime and will cost too much.
