Kasper starts in AHL unless he proves in pre-season he deserves top 6 minutes. he'll get called up when Fabbri inevitably get hurt. Ned gets one more year, when he's confident he's solid.

Personally I would let Mazur and Soderblom start in the AHL as well. I wouldn't pay Veleno that much, I don't think he's earned it. I would target a physical free agent like Hathway or Acciari.

Mazur likely starts in the AHL as well, but i liked him more for the 4th line than overpaying a FA. Hathaway or Pierre Engvall are both options I considered, but they'll be paid more on the market than they'd be worth to Detroit on the 4th line. Agree to disagree on Veleno, I think he's continuing to develop into a solid 2 way center.
