Description
So, it seems that the Jackets have a deal worked out with Vegas in which Vegas will take Clarkson's contract to reach the cap floor. In doing so they gain a prospect and a pick. They also get steered towards a player who can contribute on the ice this season for them. The Jackets gain some valuable cap flexibility to go after improvements to the roster this season and maintain in the years following.

This trade is interesting. Sakic has high demands for Duchene so teams will need ante up. The Jackets have concerns with whether Saad and Torts can coexist. So sending Saad who has 4 years left on his contract along with Murray to Colorado, the Jackets get Duchene at 2 mil retained and a 2nd round pick.

The Jackets have been in contact with Gagner's agent. The Jackets liked how he fit in on this team and would like to bring him back and the feeling is mutual.

Yeah, Milano was just a stand in. Really it could be any prospect.

^this. Saad, I would say, holds even more value than Murray. Just go take a look at his advanced stats since he came over from Chicago. If he's moved, a better/younger player than Duchene better be coming back our way.
