Description

Have Matthews go full Crosby carrying a line (he has done it before and can do it again) and spread into three extremely difficult matchups.

Rielly - Brodie is tried and true, it's what makes our most impactful defenseman at his best, do it. Holl has proven himself in my eyes, he's a good DFD that has played major minutes all season. Make a Muzzin-Holl 2.0 with McCabe and let that be the "shutdown" pair, and Gio and Liljegren has been a good pairing historically as well. Lets Gio focus on being that stable guy and let Liljegren be more the transition defender/breakout guy.

All three of our pairings always play very close to the same minutes, no real 1st pair just three that need to go out there and do their job. Same can be said about the top 9 in this scenario.

Supirsed Holl stays in over Schenn. I thought Schenn was brought in to be a "playoff guy"...

We have our options. Schenn is a guy you want as an option for a physical game but for a series with two teams that prioritize speed someone like Liljegren coming in probably makes more sense. And Holl gets undeserved flack, plays heavy, difficult minutes for us, arguably the most important D on our penalty kill - he's not coming out, despite being the scapegoat for many.

I wish this was going to happen but i think Keef will be out coached this year. The D played soft in front of the net and couldnt clear anything. Holl frustrates people because for 5 or 6 games he plays soft and when he wants to he can turn it on, being an nhl player it should always be on. I think that is why he gets so much hate. if he played heavy like that all season i bet everyone would love him.
