Michkov is going to be a stud, for sure. But I don't see CHI going for anyone other than a center with their first pick in the 2023 draft. There are too many high end centers in the top of the draft, not to go that route. If they land at 4th or 5th overall, I think they will be looking at Smith, Moore, or Yager. I also think Carlsson is heavily overrated and I probably wouldn't take him in the top 10, even though he is almost unanimously ranked at 3rd overall. I'd still probably be looking at Smith with the 3rd overall pick. Then, of course, Bedard at 1st and Fantilli at 2nd.

What separates Fantilli from the likes of Quinton Byfield, Kirby Dach, Dylan Cozens?

His compete level, shot, and creativity, are what immediately come to mind. He has swagger and a confidence in surplus. Nothing about his game worries me, other than maybe his on ice aggression on occasion. He looks as close to a true #1 center as any we have seen in drafts over the last 10 years. He just has that 'it' factor in combination with a humbleness you don't often see. He also fits CHI's timeline better than any of those players. Also, not that any of them don't have some of those things too, but Fantilli just feels like a more complete and higher end package, and at such a young age, he is only likely to get better.
