The Rangers would have to spend cap to be a good team. Could've kept Panarin, paid Miller and LAF more and signed them longer. But agree with you. Goodrow, Trocheck and Trouba though maybe not bad contracts. no especially good in cap value. Trochek is being paid correctly but for six more years...that might not age well.

Just sell the whole team, not the Ranger name to Quebec City. Then come up as the NY Rangers expansion team and pick all new players.
