Description
They have a great dcorp and goaltending. I believe they are missing at least 1 super star forward. In this AGM I get 2 really good forward upgrades in Konecny and Bert. Konecny trade is lucrative to Philly but they retain 50% cap for 2 years. Bert could also be Kane or Tarasenko. Few other options in FA.

This team actually looks quite good. I understand Engvall did very well but I think they should use his cap on the forward upgrades. They have too many middle of the roster guys as is.

I think i would go for Patrick Kane instead of Bertuzzi. 1or 2 year deal will save you from cap hell next season.

I’m not sure you get that much retained on TK with that offer. Teams will almost 100% be offering 2023 1st round picks which hold much more weight than 2024 1st round picks. So the Isles offer has to be an overpay to compete since they don’t have a 2023 1st.

Odelius and Holmstrom are decent pieces. I originally had another 2nd rounder in the package but I think it would be too much. I understand them wanting a 2023 1st though but this is a decent package.

It’s definitely a decent package but I think it gets outbid. Every DRW fan has put 17OA, 2023 2nd, and Zadina/McIssac as a package for TK with retention. To me, 17OA this year is way better than anything Toronto can offer without overpaying. I mean to beat that Detroit offer it might take two 1st rounders and that’s a big ask. Like I said the offer isn’t bad I just don’t think it’s the one that wins TK if that makes sense
