We need any Mitch Marner trade to be cap-neutral, so this offer is laughably absurd. The combined cap hit of Byfield and Durzi is under $2.7 million and spence doesn't even count against the cap. The reason why Leafs fans keep trying to shoehorn a quart of Toronto forward into a pint jar of Kings cap space is because they want to get a large return out of declining value players, not because they've bothered to think about what Los Angeles needs, which is a high-quality LhD. When you have a Devon Toews that you're willing to trade us for two seconds or the equivalent, give us a call.
