Being realistic

Created by: History65
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: May 21, 2023
Published: May 21, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
No Bergeron, no Krejci, no earth shattering moves, just what I think could realistically happen to stay competitive. Tried to shed cap space and let some of the younger guys play. Leaves $2 million in space to sign someone else if needed.

Bruins can´t let go of all three trade-deadline-pick-ups... they need to resign Bertuzzi, or at least Orlov! Otherwise... creative thinking!

Unfortunately, Orlov will demand much more than $4 000 000.

Could trade Hall to try to sign Bertuzzi

Probably 5m ish but in my opinion he would be much worth it. Boston would be better off sacrificing some offense in trading one of either debrusk of hall to free up space

Hall would probably be more likely, it would also free up $ to sign Bertuzzi. Unfortunately, Orlov seems to want to go back to Washington.

That might actually happen, though both are point-producers, Bertuzzi is a more physical player!

Was thinking that, but LA is in cap hell so we'd have to take on a contract.

DeBrusk for picks maybe (on top of the LA-trade above) - and they might be able to keep Hall. DB will need an increase in pay soon - one that we might not afford! Will yield a better return than Hall!
