I don't think the Canes would move Aho for anything short of Mathews on a below market extension.

if that's the case, it would need to be Aho + a 4 or 5 defenseman. Matthews is better than Aho by a significant margin imo

Not debating that, I just don't see a team in the CF moving thier 1C on a team friendly dea with term l unless they can somehow upgrade it.
