I’d be pretty happy with this from a Blues standpoint

Los Angeles isn't drafting a center with Alex Turcotte, Tyler Madden, Sam Helenius and Francesco Pinelli in the pipeline and Jack Hughes on the Reserve List, especially with Carson Bjarnason and Caden Price on the board at #54. Price, in particular, I see going in the first round.

A brief reminder: just because a player was a center at the junior/college/minor European levels before the draft doesn't necessarily mean they stick at center as a professional. Patrick Kane was a center in London. I did think long & hard about the Kings going with a netminder at some point. Because it takes so long for a goaltender to develop (usually) it's hard to see a team jumping into a run on them in a draft if the one they have tabbed as their top at the position isn't still available.
