San Jose only does that deal if Anaheim doesn’t pick Fantilli. Carlsson and Smith are both plus players and would have been top two in last years draft class. There just isn’t enough drop from one or the other to give up the 36th OA pick.

Too big of a reach on a position they have a lot of talent for the Blues. More likely to take Willander or Moore as both address areas of need in the system

Even if it was 11-15, picking someone one spot ahead of their projection is not even close to being a reach

I still say he goes closer to 15. Just not what the Blues need. I could see them taking a wing if someone like Benson slides, but if it goes chalk they have to get a RHD or a center. All the quality prospects are already on the wing in our system.
