None of those deals will work. Unfortunately for Habs fan, your GM, who, at multiple times promised he wouldn't trade Mikhail Sergachev, went out and did exactly that. Sergachev was your best trade chip to acquire premium talent. So, without him around, I doubt Colorado entertains any sort of conversation with the Habs, not to mention the fact that MacKinnon is 100% off limits. I know your GM has a history with the Blackhawks, but if he ever went to them with that deal, Stan Bowman would snub Bergevin so hard and wouldn't return his phone call. If the Habs wanted, say Duchene, it would cost them something like a 2018 1st round draft pick (a far better draft than this years), Noah Juulsen, Phillip Danault and Brendan Gallagher, but I doubt Bergevin would ever do that.

Sorry man. This would be a good team, but Mackinnon, Panarin and Anisimov are all off limits. Mackinnon is the only player on Colorado that they will 100% not trade. Anisimov is a player that the Hawks MIGHT trade if you blew them away with an offer, but you're not shedding Shaw's contract and I really don't think that the Habs have any players that the Hawks would be willing to pay for the production in return. Although they could use the draft picks I think they're still trying to win now. Panarin is probably their second best player. He's locked up. And Anisimov is locked up for extremely reasonable money and he gave them a lot of production this season. I don't see them trading him unless they were getting equal production in a player that wasn't much older plus a high draft pick.

anisimov and panarin are not even close to locked up. hawks have major cap issues theyd love to get rid of anisimov. panarin would be hard to swallow but everyone else is on nmc so hes the only option
