I really think the key to a good summer is trading Pageau

Description
I LOVE Pageau and what he brings to the Island. He can be relied upon in any situation. A true swiss army knife. But the Horvat trade puts the Isles in a position where they are flush with centers and someone plays out of position. Barzal plays wing because he is poor on faceoffs, but his speed is more effective down the middle. Trading Bailey is a given, but moving Pageau would allow Barzal to shift inside again and free up enough space to get a decent winger instead.

Wanted to beef up the defense on this ACGM instead. Had a different post recently traded for Durzi, signed Kulikov. Traded Pageau for picks and flipped the picks for Taylor Hall. Trying to focus on defense this time

    Additional Details:
    Used Romanov trade as the benchmark (#13 for Romanov and #98). Obviously won't know where the Isles pick will land, but Pageau is worth at least a 2nd round pick on his own. With no additional 3rd going to NYI, this feels reasonable.

    Preds have young centers (Glass and Parssinen) that need time in the middle. As far as 3C's go, we have Ryjo, who's already overpaid. Can't see us acquiring 5m in cap just to move up to what is assumed to be a late first, while giving away a 2RHD in the process.

    Pageau is definitely a little overpaid for a 3C type guy, he can bring value to a team. That being said, the deal doesn’t make sense for Nashville at all.
