I agree 100% with your sentiment, and the only thing that I can think of is that Blake KNEW that this was the position he was going to be in because I'm sure that he wouldn't have made the cap dump trade until he had a good idea how much Vilardi and Gavrikov were going to cost; therefore, he had the solution in mind. (Maybe someone's expressed sufficient interest in Arvidsson or -- God forbid -- Iafallo for him to plan on that move.)

Does anybody think Portillo is ready to play 30ish NHL games next season behind Copley? I guess that's an option too. Risky but an option
