Should do some research on Laughton, flyers already turned down 1sts for him so why would they take a 2024?

If he was easily replaceable multiple GMs wouldn’t have offered a first for him, if you did any research you would know that

Laughton is the type of players that winning Stanley Cup teams rely on.

Laughton had 1.5 xGAR last year, good for 452nd in the NHL. An improvement can be found for the league min

Descriptive stats cannot be solely used as predictors for the future. xGAR is also far from an infallible statistic.

So answer me this then, why are multiple GMs offering firsts for him if he is replaceable for free on a league minimum?

I see your point here but honestly I don't always believe what's been reported...if I'm Philly and I was even offered a first rounder to begin with idk why Briere turned it down that sounds like an awesome deal to me. Career high 18 goals last soon to be 30 YO, physical playoff style player and you're being offered trade deadline type deals now. If your asset gets injured in season or struggles you are fu$$ed

Any GM that offers a first for the epitome of a mod player should fired.
Any GM that declines to trade a mid player for a first should also be fired.

It makes GMs the idiots we already knew they were, and does nothing to show how little Laughton provides in on ice value
