Considering the Core 4 are all likely to return, this is the type of roster I'd like to see Treliving make a push for. Not mean to be 100% realistic, just an idea of where I think the team needs upgrades and examples of players I would like Treliving to target.

Leafs aren’t signing orlov to big contract, I’d rather have McCabe on that second pair with Lily, then bring back timmins he could be good. Soucy is a person I’d sign to a 3 or 4 year deal for 3.25 million. If not don’t spend 6 million on a defence men. I’d rather give that to ROR. I’m taking steeves over ahler mcmman

Really like the idea of targeting Soucy. I think he could be a good addition. Also helps with our cap situation when the new deals for Nylander, Matthews, etc. kick in (assuming they stay...).

I still can't get over the Toronto fanbase's compulsion to dump a young right-handed 6/7 defenseman who looks NHL-quality and has a cap hit of only $1.1 million. Of course, I'll accept him gratefully.

More of an issue with actually getting him ice time. I think he has value and is a quality player, but who is he going to overtake to get in the lineup?
