we’d probably need to retain on garland to make it work financially.

imo we should not give up on podz, especially since fabbro doesn’t exactly move the needle.

O’reilly probably gets 5+ in free agency

Even if you retain half on garland Drury’s still gonna laugh at this braindead offer

21-year-old Laffy will get 2.5m for 2 years and is already better than 27 year old "Doesn't Hit" Garland. The upside that Laffy has makes you want him over cap dump Garland and with Rangers in cap hell why would they give up the younger/better/cheaper player ? Even if you took 50% retained, Laffy will still be cheaper. Make no sense. I'll bring it down even more, Laffy had 39 points playing on the 3rd line and with like no PP time, so he only got 4 PP points. So Laffy had 35 points at 5on5. Garland with a lot more playing time with 46 points and in them points he had 12 PP points making him a 34 points at 5on5. See Laffy has more points 5on5 with less playing time. Garland had 167 shots with 17 goals, so he's shooting at 10.2%. Laffy had only one less goal then Garland with 135 shots, so he's shooting at 11.9%. So again Laffy with a ton of upside is younger and will be cheaper and is the better players. No chance Rangers take that trade. Nils/Woo is like Krastsov not worth anything. Rangers don't want your garbage.
