My thinking here is NYR get out of the 4 years left on goodrow and add a 4th rd + garland who is walmart brad marchand (annoying) and kinda like a motte style player with scoring touch. VAN gets out of garland deal + laf who is gonna get paid decently (enough for NYR to say no i'd think) and has already been rumored to be on the move. VAN gives the 5th to CHI to even out cap hits of garland and goodrow

Vancouver isn't adding enough. Goodrow is not a bad contract. He's a swiss army knife, Rangers wont give him away as a dump. Hawks don't get paid enough to retain 1.5m~ for 3 years. Rangers don't get enough for Laffy and Goodrow combined.

You have to add Hoglander and rathbone I argue. Rags get a 3rd/4th
Then Chicago gets one of the other 3rds and a 4th next season..
