Looks pretty decent, only big changes I'd make is to sign more RFAs (Holmberg at the minimum) and I'd prefer Barbashev over Domi

Like this team a lot. I would try to sign Schenn as well. Maybe fine as trade deadline acquisition. Rielly needs another D partner than Lil.

I prefer Barbashev as well, but that would not fit with the cap on that team. No cape space for TDL than, even with one of the guys on the minors.

He'd be 5M, I'd use money from Domi and Mayfield for Barbashev, replace Mayfield with Schenn on 3RD.

Like that. And than Barbashev 2nd LW, Robertson out, O´Reilly 2nd line centre and Pontus 3rd line C?

I would switch Lafferty to LW and Acciari to centre as well.

I wouldn't hate watching this team. Like the idea of picking up a guy like Pacioretty on the cheap.

I might put Acciari on 3C and Holmberg on 4C to start the season. Just because Acciari is much more experienced so we can gauge how Holmberg is doing and promote if he looks good.

Put robertson at least 4LW and put hathaway on RW, I'd rather see what Robertson can bring vs Lafferty

Why is Murray LTIR?

Brody is good for the Pens but as a rental is a little pricy. I can see Dubas trading the 2nd for him though...

Until now, Robertson has looked awful in a 4th line role. IMO he needs more icetime to show his potential. And he is way too small, unlike his brother.

I would love to give him another shot - but than higher in the lineup. If I have to decide now, I rather would like to see a full season of Lafferty with 10 SHGs. 😏

Fair enough, I just think the Leafs NEED to play robertson regularly this season, either to shape him into a regular player, or drive his trade value up.

ABSOLUTLY. I always told other ACGM´s who overrate him, that his trade value right now is next to nothing. Hope he could stay healthy. Another big issue. And so sad for him.

I agree, if he can stay healthy I can see him being a really good player, or a nice piece to move somewhere

Would love to see him in Dallas with his brother.

I mostly appreciate the Leafs' assessment rooted in realism.
