- EDIT: Agreed, not enough value in the Pesce trade. Added from COL's perspective
- Let FLA discuss contract negotations with Toews first. Trade makes zero sense for them if he's just a rental, they'd need to extend him
- Give Pesce the Lindholm deal, 6.5x8. He's a little worse than Toews, but a very solid top 4 Dman and less expensive
- If Lundell isn't ready for a 2C job, a combo of Rantanen/Newhook/Rodrigues is available
- Lundell's skating isn't phenomenal but Im not concerned
- With the remaining 2M I'd wait to see who's left behind after free agency - like how the Avs have done with Murray and ERod in the past. Provide someone left without a job a 2x1 for increased depth, and still have that capspace back next year
