i agree with you for our needs and if we get (or sign) all those four pieces , we propably need to trade plecanek too for cap space .

the probleme is we need a better and cheaper second centre than plecanek and than we can have the luxury to put Danault back to his spot centre#3

The problem is the lack of assets mtl has, I would try to offload plecanec as a salary dump and sign Thornton as a UFA with the cap space

Montreal has some assets in terms of Galchenyuk and Hudon (might get a good value for him b/c of AHL success). I would offload Plekanec for a couple draft low draft picks at this point as his contract is awful and should never have been done. We could go out and sign a Thorton or go younger and get Hanzel. As for D well that's a whole other demon that will put more pressure on Petry and Weber, I love picking up Drouin hate the fact we lost the best defensive prospect going in the game though because Sergachev now would be filling a big gap and giving Markov that time with him to groom would have been phenomenal.
