He has essentially requested a trade out of Calgary and I firmly believe that it’s going to cost an arm and a leg to get him. This proposal is intriguing for the Flames, but my guess is they would want more guarantees than conditions even if they make out well with them.

The problem is that I don’t think he’ll ever touch those numbers again lol so you’d be overpaying for 50 points and 31 years old needing a new contract
