AS much as he struggled offensively buying out Pleky doesn't work for me, I'd keep him instead of signing Hanzal. I think everyone is giving up on Chucky too soon ... he has to work on his defensive game to be a better 200 foot player. I think Bergevin can use this as leverage to keep him at that $4.5 - 5 mil range for 3 years. I haven't seen much of Brodin so I'm not sure if his salary is worth that I really liked what Davidson brought to the table. Great thoughts!

So you sign Galchenyuk to a deal that is not good for the Habs or Chucky, and then trade him for a guy you aren't even putting in the lineup? Then you waaaaay overpay a guy like Hanzal and throw away cap space to buy out Plekanec?
