TBL game one roster option

Created by: JTBF81
Team: 2023-24 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 24, 2023
Published: Jun. 25, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tampa re-signs their two main rfa's, add 3 ufas to address the 3 positions they need to, and promote Goncalves. Killorn walks, but that was expected given cap constraints and his expected contract value. The core remains intact and Tampa continues their model of filling in depth as needed, until the cap increases more significantly.

If you replace both of those players with league-minimum players, you would indeed have room for another league-minimum players.

Question: which 3 league minimum players would you prefer

? im not quite sure what you mean by this, we would be running a 22 man roster, is that what you mean? But in terms of league min players I really like Matthew Phillips and we also need to call up goncalves, I would also like to try Koepke and sign Robert Mastrosimone. There are other good ones too

Yes, that is what I mean. If you drop those 2, and sign 3 players @750k, you can get to a roster of 22.

yes I am aware, here is a 22 man roster that I like, If the UPL trade doesnt work then just swap him out with rittich and I have been trying to make a version of the roster where broberg replaces dehaan, it would obviously cost a lot more assets though

yeah but I would give him away for FC so hopefully at least 1 of the 16 teams wants him tears of joy I would be willing to part with like a 6th or a 7th to toss him

see this is just why it’s so hard for me to take it seriously when Tampa fans say that they an pick and choose with Colton offers because they don’t need to get rid of him. Keeping him @3.5 requires A LOT of work, like dumping Maroon and getting like 3+ players on sub 900k contracts.

I mean you dont NEED to dump maroon... I would just rather have edmonds over maroon, and there are plenty of great league min players that need to be given the chance at an NHL level so I just completely disagree

I had Goncalves, but switched him.with ABB. I suppose I forgot to change that in the description. Goncaves could work as well, with slight tweaking of some cap numbers.

And Tampa fans find it difficult to take seriously all the terrible offers for Colton, and yet they keep on coming. Kulikov is the most recent add, but Tampa can trade for a.3LD such as.Seeler to create more space, or call up Carlile. There are many options for Tampa to make a 21 or possibly a 22 player roster work(that keeps Colton at different aav) and this is just one of many that have been posted.

It's not as though it's unheard of. Tampa can also reach 22 by having an additional.Syracuse promotion on the 4th line and having a cheaper 3LD.

They are asking for a 4th and 2 6ths, I would rather try to get dehaan or make a push for broberg or a similar player but seeler would be a capable 3LD, I mean even carlile looks like he could potentially make the roster.

Also been posted by many fans of both sides, and it usually ranges anywhere from a 3rd to a 4th+6th. One of the latest has been Fleury+4th+5th.

Wait what. Nic Seeler, who was being quoted as “worth a first and more” at the TDL last season, is now being traded for a 3rd round pick?!
