No we want Zadina to go to Boston and put on their top line. We have their 1st the worse they do the better that pick is.

i'm admittedly not too familiar with the DET farm system but i know some young talent coming up. Wasn't sure if he was taking a roster spot from them.
I'm sure since he was a high draft pick and you guys still rebuilding you are right that he'll play out his contract since it's cheap, or if he does have a good season try and deadline flip him or something

He hasn't played like a 6th overall pick but he has improved defensively and he has found other ways to contribute and has become a good bottom 6 forward. Unless he breaks out I doubt he is in Detroit past his current contract. But free agency opens at noon tomorrow so who knows what will happen

I'm excited but nervous for this year plays out. Honestly. If we're a bubble team, i hope we blow it up, and that 1st rounder is top 10 protected haha. Otherwise tough years to come with our lack of drafting abilities
