yamamoto is a better player with more talent. a higher ceiling. hes also 7 years younger. he had 45 tk. 17 gv vs jarnkrok who had 21 & 12.

Oilers just paid someone to take his contract at 700k more. You just traded Nylander, Jarnkrok and a 3rd for Yamamoto, Kostin and Domi effectlively.

Jarnkrok scored 16 even strength goals for us, can play all forward positions, is at a reasonable cap hit, plays up and down the lineup and most importantly we aren't talking about shooting him to the moon like Yamamoto.

Oilers dint pay a thing. They gave up on 2 players they dint feel like paying.
And that’s what I acquired with the cap space. I dint even get a return for Nylander. If he extends with his next team we surely are getting 2 first backs and possibly more

Actually I dumped Nylander for picks to get comtois, McLeod, domi, Yamamoto, and kostin. And all those guys together will have a much bigger impact on the leafs than a soft but super talented Nylander.

It doesn’t matter what fans of other teams say. A lot of leafs fan said kallgren was a future number #1 goalie after his first shutout win. He’s an effective player that plays big for 5’8. He has a lot of talent and those are facts and not feelings. He belongs in the top 6 alot more than a 31 year who just had a career year. Jarnkrok is good and reliable. But he will slow down fast. Kailer is just getting started.

Well you got rid of him for picks and used the cap space to get these other players so ya he's apart of this. I don't think acquiring all the players Oilers didn't feel like paying to replace Nylander who you traded for futures makes this team better.

Domi is the biggest Nylander replacement. And honestly we aren’t looking for a replacement. What we want is a deeper and tougher team to play against. The last couple of Stanley cup winners all had deep rosters filled with hard working and physical guys. Overall this team has a lot of more depth and guys willing to go to greasy areas to get goals and pay the price to win. It’s a change of identity. Sure they won’t look as good as Willy. But that’s fine, we aren’t trying to win with this talent only culture.

Leafs won’t be able to target a saviour. Nobody is gonna affect the leafs like that. We need a team that buys in a plan. And goes to work. Just like Vegas did. And that’s what I’m trying to build . We won’t see teams like the pens win again imo ( talented rosters that can out score their problems with incredible goalies. ) playoff hockey is changing and we need to adjust cuz our window isn’t going to be opened for ever.
