Boston / Calgary Shakeup

Created by: TopCornerShot
Team: 2017-18 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 25, 2017
Published: Jun. 25, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'm starting to get worried that the Bruins are going to keep Spooner and Hayes. For those who don't know, Spooner got pulled from the playoffs in favor of a 4th liner. I'm sure everyone knows that Jimmy Hayes is crap in Boston. Both these players need a change of scenery badly. I'm thinking there could be an avenue for discussion with the flames after Bennett's poor year as well. Bouma is crap just like Hayes, but he'd be new crap that fans could have hope about. The flames get the better player for right now (Spooner) because they are going for it, having made a huge deal to acquire Hamonic. Gabrielle gives them the potential they are losing in Bennett. He's scored over a ppg the last 2 years in the WHL, along with spending a good deal of time in the penalty box. He's already got a man's body weighing in over 200lbs while being 6'0". I think this trade is pretty fair, but let me know what you think.

Trades
BOS
  1. Bouma, Lance
Additional Details:
Rights To Sam Bennett.

The Bruins unload some unwanted players and a fringe top 10 prospect to put some new faces in the crowd. Bennett has big potential and most Bruins fans would agree that Bouma can't be any worse than Hayes.
CGY
  1. Gabrielle, Jesse
  2. Hayes, Jimmy
Additional Details:
Rights To Ryan Spooner.

Ryan Spooner is better than Bennett right now, but Bennett should emerge the better player. They are both coming off poor years, which should make them available. Hayes and Bouma also need a change of scenery. Gabrielle is to make up the difference in value between Spooner and the younger Bennett. He's a nice agitator prospect who won't be ready for a couple years, but will fit their core well.

1) McAvoy plays the right side, they'd never put him on the left ESPECIALLY in the 3rd pairing
2) on that 4th line, Nash would be the RW and Acciari would be C
3) Patrnak is Krecji's RW thats how you get the most out of Krecji, you DONT seperate them, Backes stays on RW w Bergeron
4) that deal is just not a deal that could/would happen
a) Spooner isn't as bad a contract as you're giving him in that deal, and he's a better C then LW so you're underselling him in that deal
b) Gabrielle isn't going to be dealt in a deal like that, he doesn't make up for the Hayes contract

Most of this criticism doesn't make sense. #1 McAvoy has the skill to play both sides. #2 Accari didn't play any C last year and Nash was close to 50% face-offs. #3 Pasta played better with Bergeron, if Krejci needs to be catered to, he needs to be moved. He'll take what he gets and sit down. #4 That deal is good and you're not using your brain enough. A. Spooner for 2.5M is bad for us and I never said he's a LW so that's just coming from you and you have a lot of flaws, as you've proven. B. Gabrielle is to make up for the difference in age between Spooner and Bennett, learn to read much? He doesn't need to make up for the Hayes contract, because Bouma = Hayes......
